I've been fortunate enough to have owned several Ferrari's over the years and have always used Foskers to look after them. I've sold cars to Foskers, bought cars from Foskers, as well as being a regular client of the storage, servicing and detailing services they offer. Across the board, the Foskers team have always been incredibly knowledgable and professional.

The Foskers team are very friendly and approachable, so their knowledge is always on tap if needed. I've lost track of the number of times I've had to phone Alastair Gill and ask a question about a noise, or a light, or just for general advice, especially on the older Ferraris. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they will always find a way to help if they can.

My Ferrari has been maintained from nearly new for 30 years. An old friend who had a Ferrari 246 Dino at that time then recommended me to Bernard Fosker and thus, I went and met him. I remember in the early years Bernard would come and collect my car from home by cycling over 20 miles. He always said what a great ride it was, I thought he could not afford a car and never asked, only to find out much later that Bernard and all the next generation did cycle racing. Over the years I have been very happy with all that has been done to my car by Foskers and their team, including a full engine rebuild in 2007. I look forward to many more years of good advice from them.

It was only after I was given Bernard Foskers details in 1977 that I started relying on him to upkeep my Dino - a decision I have never regretted. Little did I know when I first saw Jeff helping his father Bernard working on my Ferrari Dino in 1978 that the boy (!) would become one of the most knowledgeable Ferrari men in the country. Bernard was one of those specialised mechanics who carved a niche for himself by being able to service/maintain only Ferraris for a chosen few, fastidious Ferrari owners who preferred to enlist his services. His reputation preceded him only by word of mouth. Slowly but surely his reputation for perfection grew to the point where he was unable to take on new clients due to the amount of time he had to devote to his regular clientele needs. It was at this stage he thought it a good idea to take on his eldest son Jeff as an apprentice and by that time, Bernard had branched out further by undertaking compete Ferrari restorations.This became an ideal training ground for Jeff who was given the opportunity to work on the Ferraris of the 60, 70,s and mid 80,s (considered by so many of us to be works of art) so much so that the home based garage workshop soon gave rise to a new concept encouraging Jeff to open a complete Ferrari Sales and Engine Maintenance Service company in the mid 90,s which has gone on from strength to strength. By then Bernard's younger son Colin was brought in and was able to take on some of the responsibility with Bernard remaining as an independent consultant. During 30 years I have known the Fosker family I can, without hesitation, not only confirm their reliability to do an utterly professional job on whatever they undertake but also I have been pleased to cement a genuine friendship over this period of time.

I just wanted to write to express my gratitude in connection with the recent purchase of my Ferrari 360 Modena. As you know I was originally a Foskers customer from 2000 to 2004 and always enjoyed the quality and high level of communications provided through the service department. Between 2004 and 2007 I went on to try other high performance vehicles but eventually realised that not many things can replace the rush of owning a Ferrari. I have to admit that I looked at the market and other Ferrari dealers but no one was prepared to take my Porsche GT3 in part exchange at a realistic level. I had seen a 360 Modena on the Foskers website and decided I would casually pop in one Saturday morning as if I wasn't really interested. Upon my arrival your Sales Manager, Tony Glynn introduced himself and I was extremely impressed with his product knowledge, even more so when I discussed the problem with my high value part exchange, but on the following Monday I received a call from Tony confirming a part exchange offer which was way beyond my expectations. The deal was done, clean and easy and I drove away in my Ferrari for Christmas 2007. In addition to buying a Ferrari the most important factor, that was proved once again by yourself in September 2008, is the back up and support of the after sales service is of paramount importance. At my vehicle service I was informed that my clutch had limited life and was advised that it would be easier to change it at this point. Upon receiving my invoice I was amazed to find that you had sanctioned a discount on parts and labour in connection with the clutch. The most satisfying aspect in dealing with Foskers is that you never feel exploited. All service and repairs are carried out at realistic prices to the highest standard. This is why I believe that I will always remain a Foskers customer, and I would like to say a big thank you to all the team at Foskers Sales Ltd.

I first met Tony Glynn in 2008, I had made the conscious decision to sell my 911 and move towards buying a Ferrari, in particular a 328. I phoned Tony and explained that while I would not be buying a car that day, I would be interested in looking at a 328 GTS that they had advertised. I arrived to find the car readied for a test drive while Tony swiftly made my acquaintance. We spoke at length with regard to the virtues of the 911 and when I was ready we inspected the 328. A superb car, well detailed with a fastidious service history supplied in folder form on demand. I was informed I could spend as long as I liked with the car and was even given a cup of tea whilst doing so; Tony left me to it, no pressure and no hassle.

The road test was great, Tony was realistic about how this car would differ from my present machine and also the advantages and disadvantages over the Porsche. This I found particularly refreshing owing to the fact that every Ferrari dealer I had spoken to had systematically put my car and more importantly the marque down with their omnipresent if not second hand attitude.

Road test complete and we discussed a deal, but it did not happen, I needed to part exchange the Carrera and get a price that would fit my budget. Tony rang round and tried hard to make the deal happen. I know this because I sat in his office with a second cup of tea while he did so. Tony was in the end only £1000 short on a deal.

In my experience many a dealer would have labelled me a time waster and anyone who walked away from a deal on a Ferrari over a £1000 was foolish, I had my budget, I stuck to it and Tony respected that. However one year later Tony contacted me to ask whether I had in fact found a car, he did not even have another one for me, he just seemed interested. I explained that I had found a 328, within budget and he duly invited me as a Ferrari owner to a Foskers customers gathering in a fantastic gastro pub which included a free Italian meal. I got the opportunity to speak with a number of Foskers staff and what a team.

I have a degree in Product Design and Engineering and to be fair do not usually trust anyone with any of my cars, however when it comes to the mechanics at Foskers I am clearly out of my league. All have come from high end motorsport teams, rally sport and formula one, they each posses a CV so impressive that it tends to take you aback, especially as I am ten years older than most of them and not yet 40 myself. There is a genuine family atmosphere within the team; all headed up by brothers Jeff and Colin, two of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

My wife and I recently decided to invest in a late eighties Testarossa and I left it with Tony to find the best example he could within our given budget but furthermore to achieve a good part exchange price on our current 328. The car he found for us was peerless, truly peerless. Many cars are described as like new and I have never seen a car that lives up to that description quite like this one. Red with cream leather, rossa carpets, perfect black dash, and 13,000 pampered miles from new. We made a deal and guess what. £1000 short again, but Tony helped with some of the service work that would be upcoming and put up with my fine tooth comb details list and so we went ahead. The funny thing about a Testarossa is all the rubbish people tend to write about them and I can only imagine that they have never actually driven a good one, a Foskers one. Not only does it look like new but it genuinely drives like new. I am so happy with the service and the product Foskers have supplied that I fell compelled to write this testimonial. The day I picked the car up I went straight out onto the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit for a photo shoot with Auto Italia magazine. They wanted the best 365, 512 BB and Testarossa they could find, all three cars were supplied by Foskers and no doubt will make the front cover of the magazine. Would I buy another Ferrari from Foskers?....No, I will buy all my Ferraris from Foskers!
