Balloons, Bikes and Ferraris at Groombridge

The annual Balloons, Bikes and Ferraris at Groombridge Place enticed an array of Ferraris and Motorbikes. Luckily the rain stayed away and a fantastic turnout of Ferraris arrived from Scuderia’s to 400’s.

Foskers supported the event and found another great excuse to let the “dark horse” 456 race car out. We also took along a 412, 360 Modena 365 GT 2+2, 365 GT4 BB, 355 Spider, 288 GTO, 246 GT and not forgetting a couple of Desmosedicis.

Groombridge were kind enough to offer a sumptuous lunch for all the Ferrari owners, which was gratefully received. A marquee with large television screen enabled the Formula 1 fans to watch Mark Webber win the Hungarian Grand Prix and take the lead in the driver’s championship.

The Foskers restored 365 GT4 BB, which took the prestigious award of Car of the Day at the Fetes Champetre Hurlingham Club, achieved a first at the Ferrari Owners Club National Concours, and won Class E at the Foskers Concours d\'Elegance and Garden Party in July attracted the crowds again! The 365 was awarded Car of the Day by the FOC Kent members and the visitors to Groombridge Place chose a 430 Scuderia as the best car.

As the event drew to a close, an unforgettable sight ensued, a field of Ferraris with hot air balloons taking off in the background within the beautiful surroundings of Groombridge Place Gardens and enchanted forest. Balloons, Bikes and Ferraris at Groombridge are a definite must for the diary next year!
