As the end of the summer season is nearing and our Ferraris are being prepared for winter hibernation it would appear that a Ferrari specialist such as ourselves would be sitting here twiddling our thumbs......
However here at Foskers, it is still the hive of activity even in this woeful economic climate the workshop is buzzing with all sorts of goings-on for these coming months as we have some rather exciting projects on the go.
Last month saw the Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain National Concours which was held at the grounds of Heythrop Park in the county of Oxfordshire. It was a brilliant turn out of owners and their cars and Foskers took the opportunity to display our latest acquisition, a 1969 series 246 Dino GT. More information on this very special car can be found in our restoration section.
It was a particularly good weekend for Foskers as we gained awards in three different categories, firstly in the ‘Area Group Class’ with Eric Wilsons 1980 Ferrari 308 GT4 chassis number 15426 and then in the ‘328-308 Class’ with another Fosker restored Ferrari a 1977 fibreglass 308 GTB chassis number 19355. Both of these cars were restored in 1991 by Foskers and are a credit to the restoration that they are still winning awards some 20 years later. If you thought that was it then you would be mistaken my friends as a third award came our way in the ‘250-275 Class’ with our latest restoration, a 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso chassis number 5689 . So an all round great weekend for the Fosker restoration department. We already have some interesting projects underway for next years national concours, if you would like to keep updated then further information can be found on the restoration section of this website.
Please log in next week for my ramblings on Foskers planned New York adventure.
