FOC track day at Silverstone

The Foskers team set off early for the much anticipated first track day of the year at Silverstone, ever the optimist they took a 308 with the roof off, praying for sunshine! On the M25 the heaven’s opened setting the tone for the rest of the day. There was only one word to describe Silverstone on the day, and that is WET! Nevertheless the Ferrari troupe was undeterred by the rain. There were rumoured to be around 120 cars at the famous Grand Prix circuit, all determined to have a great day.

With torrential rain on and off during the day spirits were only slightly dampened and the cars were cautiously tackling the challenging Grand Prix circuit.

As always Foskers were on hand to assist customers and fix minor problems that inevitably crop up on track days. Whilst sheltering in the garages this did offer a good opportunity to catch up with clients and as always talk Ferrari.

There were some magnificent Ferraris in attendance! 308’s, 328’s, 355’s, 360’s, 430’s, 512’s, 599’s, F40’s, Daytona, and many more beautiful cars. However there were two cars, which stood out for us, the first was an Enzo, which was simply stunning. The second car was a Nero Scuderia, sheltering in the garage from the rain looking truly magnificent.

One thing that was evident on the day was the Ferrari spirit. Yes, it was extremely wet, driving conditions were treacherous at times, but despite this people were smiling and having a wonderful time, doing what we all love most driving Ferraris!
