On Wednesday 16th September the Brands Hatch Race Circuit in Kent hosted the last Ferrari Owners Club track day of the 2009 season. The Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch is extremely popular providing an opportunity for our clients to maximise the speed and handling of their Ferrari to it’s full potential, safe in the knowledge that Richard and Colin were on hand to ensure their cars ran smoothly.

In excess of 75 Ferraris were privileged enough to take to the circuit in the novice, intermediate and experienced sessions, meticulously run by the Ferrari Owners Club and Brands Hatch Race Circuit. Many members took advantage of the day by bringing down their Ferrari, watching the action and catching up with friends.The Grand Prix circuit is a beautiful track, taking you out on the tree-lined track, down Pilgrim’s drop heading out towards Hawthorn Bend, the Ferraris exhaust delights your ears as the car accelerates gripping the circuit as the tyres reach temperature and the driver becomes familiar once again with the twists and straights of the famous grand prix circuit.

Foskers clients Gary and Sue Spicer won the auction bid at our 40th Anniversary celebration to spend the day as guests of the Scuderia Ecosse team. Racing driver and Instructor Nick Padmore took Gary and Sue around the circuit in the 430 Challenge car, in what can only be described as a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you to David and Jenny for their hospitality in offering such an opportunity.

With a dry racetrack the day was just perfect! Our clients Ferraris running on all cylinders and being driven with immense enjoyment provided a great day for the Foskers team, and more importantly all four wheels were kept on track! The 308 was incredible quick, over taking 328’s and 355’s with great spirit, the Challenge Stradale lived up to it’s track prowess with the stiffened suspension enabling some fast laps. Richard and Vanessa were extremely honoured to go out in the beautiful F40, although we live and breathe Ferraris, we still adore them and appreciate their finery, a ride round the grand prix circuit in an F40 is an experience which you may only get to do once in your lifetime and wow what an experience! We had a fantastic day with our clients and their Ferraris and are already looking forward to next year!
