Saturday was party night at Foskers. The whole team, clients and the renowned motorsport commentator Brian Jones headed to the Rising Sun at Fawkham for post Christmas celebrations.
The sensible decision was made in December to cancel the event due to treacherous snow so we couldn’t wait for the New Year celebrations to get under way.
With the delights of wild boar, lamb fillet roulade, ostrich rossini just some of the main options adorning the menu our taste buds were well and truly tantalised, before we even reached the desserts of sherry trifle or lemon cheesecake with vanilla pod ice cream. We must offer thanks and compliments to the chef Rhona for yet again producing a sumptuous menu that tasted glorious.
With celebrations in full swing praise was given to the restoration department for their achievements in 2010. Most notably the 1974 365 BB GT4 which won car of the day at the Fetes Champetre event at the Hurlingham Club in June and went on to achieve the highest mark at the Ferrari Owners Club Concours at Walton Hall just a few weeks later.
Foskers achieved phenomenal success in 2010 with the 456 GT race car. It was only fitting that the Foskers Driver of 2010 went to Paul Brooks for his outstanding skill at the wheel, bringing the 456 home in one piece throughout 2010.
The inaugural quiz got under way with an immediate disqualification to the Modena team for their despicable cheating in 2009, leaving the Dino team free to romp home as the Foskers Ferrari Quiz victors of 2011.
The evening continued full of frivolity. Everyone retired to the bar for post dinner drinks; and there it gets just a little bit blurred.
Happy New Year to you all, Foskers wish you a prosperous 2011.
