In January of 2010 Foskers began preparing a Ferrari 456 GT to race in the Ferrari Owners Club Pirelli Open series in class S for modified cars. We have successfully completed our first season and have won our class 2 times and achieved a class lap record at Spa Francorchamps race circuit in Belgium.
It is no coincidence that Foskers chose to race the only Ferrari 456 GT race car in the World. The reasons are obvious; the car is unique and very individual. After spending months in the workshop shedding pounds the 456 is now a similar weight to that of a Ferrari F40, more importantly our car now has similar brake horse power.
Our drivers name is Paul Brooks, he is a 47 year old Ferrari owner. Paul raced in this very series back in the 1980’s in a Testarossa and previous to that raced a 1956 625 TR and later a 250 Testarossa in the Millie Miglia, his provenance was paramount when making our driver choice.
Foskers highly recommend the Ferrari Owners Club Pirelli Classic and Open race series, we are currently beginning new race and track projects for the 2011 season. If you would like to be involved in our race team next year then please call us to discuss your requirements as soon as possible. Come along and join the fun in 2011.
If you would rather come along and watch the races, clients are more than welcome to join us trackside, it really is a great weekend, email vanessa@foskers.com with the Pirelli Ferrari Open race meeting you would like to attend and we will advise you of our plans.
