Ferrari Owners Club Track Day at Sunny Silverstone

On Monday 19th April the Ferrari Owners Club troupe descended on sunny Silverstone for the first track day of the season. A fantastic turn out of Ferraris ensued with around 100 cars signed up in advance and even more arriving on the day. What a truly wonderful sight to behold after a long winter, a sea of Italian beauty decorating the paddock and track at the British home of Formula 1.

A broad range of Ferraris adorned the track, 246, 308, 328, 355, 360, 430, 456, F40, Scuderia and all the usual suspects. With the successful Pirelli Ferrari Open series having been revised this year to include 360 challenge, 430 challenge and GT cars, there were a lot of these models on track with their fantastic livery and body wrapping lighting up the tarmac at Silverstone.

The keenest member of the troupe had to go to Foskers technician Richard who set his alarm for 5.00 am, even though he was staying two miles away from the circuit! Colin Fosker whom he was sharing a room with luckily admired his enthusiasm.

The Foskers track team were on hand at Silverstone to support our clients, although we cannot wait for the troupe to head south to Brands when our own 456 race car will be on circuit.

To any Ferrari Owners Club member who has never managed to visit one of these tracks days, we thoroughly recommend it. The Ferrari community comes alive on these days as you listen to the tubi exhausts stretching themselves on the straight and catch up with all the Ferrari aficionados that you haven’t seen for a few months or years. A terrific opportunity to meet new people and if you’re really lucky you might even get to experience a few passenger laps! There are a some wonderful tracks lined up this year, Oulton Park, Brands, Knockhill, Snetterton and another outing to Silverstone. Should you wish to get more involved and sign up to take part, Foskers are able to advise and set your car up for the track, just call us, we are happy to help.

Thank you Ferrari Owners Club for a fantastic day and if you could arrange this weather or better for the rest of the track day season we would all be eternally grateful :-)
